Bigleaf Networks adds Telecom/SD-WAN Veteran Eric Brooker to Channel Team
BEAVERTON, OR, October 28, 2019 — Today Bigleaf Networks announced that channel veteran Eric Brooker has joined the Bigleaf team as Sr. Director of National Partner Programs. Brooker brings over 20 years of telecom and SD-WAN experience with channel-leading companies like Broadvoice, Viasat, Ecessa and ShoreTel.
This news follows the announcement of Bigleaf’s $21MM series B funding, signaling an increased investment in the Master Agent channel. In this new role, Brooker will work hand-in-hand with Bigleaf’s Master Agent partners around the world to put that investment to work enabling and supporting Bigleaf’s network of Telecom Agents and MSPs.
“Bigleaf’s growth in the Telecom Channel was built through our relationships with top Master Agents and their partner communities,” said Bigleaf’s co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer, Jeff Burchett. “Eric’s experience and relationships will accelerate that growth. His expertise will drive greater engagement with our partners and enable them to find even more success with Bigleaf.”
Bigleaf has become a highly differentiated vendor in a growing, and sometimes crowded, SD-WAN market. Current networking technologies have been built for the large enterprise use-case of site-to-site networking. SMB and Mid-sized companies are left behind – companies with the uptime and performance requirements of a large enterprise but without the budget or IT expertise or site-to-site focus.
“My experience in the world of UCaaS made it clear that SD-WAN is a necessity,” said Brooker. “Voice and data communications are the lifeblood of a business. Our clients need to be able to interact with their customers at all times. With more services in the cloud, access to the cloud is critical, which makes SD-WAN a must for everyone. This just made sense.”
Brooker is the fifth new addition to Bigleaf’s channel team in 2019, with more hires coming.
