As distributed businesses continue to rely on cloud applications, hybrid connectivity, wireless options, and increasingly complex branch environments, Q2 2026 here at Bigleaf focused on giving administrators more control, clearer configuration, and a stronger foundation.
This quarter’s updates to Bigleaf Cloud Connect included improvements to site configuration, expanded administrative controls, and continued user experience refinements.
Clearer IP Management in Site Configuration
Q2 brought updates to the LAN Settings experience within Site Configuration.
As part of those updates, LAN Networks has been renamed Public IPs to better reflect how administrators manage Bigleaf-allocated IP blocks.
This change may seem simple, but it supports a larger goal: making configuration clearer, more intuitive, and easier to navigate.
For businesses that rely on static IPs, vendor allowlisting, public IP blocks, remote access, security systems, payments, cameras, or other site-specific applications, clear IP management is essential. By aligning the language in the dashboard more closely with how customers and administrators think about these settings, Bigleaf helps reduce friction in everyday network management.
More Control Over Local Device Access
In April, Bigleaf added a new site-level setting that allows administrators to enable or disable the CPE’s local UI and local CLI.
These toggles are available in the General tab of the site configuration section and can only be changed by administrators. This feature requires firmware version 1.3.1 or later on the site’s CPE.
Default settings are:
- Local UI enabled
- Local CLI disabled
This update gives administrators more direct control over how local device access is handled at each site.
For distributed organizations, especially those with multiple locations, lean IT teams, or managed service environments, site-level access control can play an important role in maintaining consistency, reducing unnecessary exposure, and supporting operational governance across the network.
Streamlined LAN Client Visibility
Q2 also included a small but helpful update to the Site Configuration LAN Clients page.
The Show only clients online toggle now defaults to “on.”
This helps administrators focus first on active clients, making it easier to see what is currently connected at a site without needing to filter through offline devices by default.
For day-to-day troubleshooting and support, small usability improvements like this can make a meaningful difference. When teams are trying to identify devices, review client activity, or understand what is happening at a branch location, the most useful information is often what is active right now.
Ongoing User Experience Improvements
Across April, May, and June, Bigleaf continued to deliver a steady stream of bug fixes and user experience improvements within Bigleaf Cloud Connect.
These updates included:
- Improvements to site configuration workflows
- Additional refinements to the LAN Settings and LAN Clients experience
- Security patches
- General bug fixes
- Continued improvements to platform usability
While these types of updates may not always be the most visible, they are an important part of making the platform more reliable, intuitive, and easier to manage over time.
For administrators and partners, the goal is simple: fewer points of friction, clearer controls, and a smoother experience when managing distributed branch connectivity.
A Stronger Foundation
Q2 2026 was about strengthening the foundation of Bigleaf Cloud Connect.
Updates to LAN Settings and Public IP management improved clarity around configuration. New local UI and CLI controls gave administrators more site-level governance. LAN client visibility became easier to navigate. And ongoing bug fixes and user experience enhancements continued to improve day-to-day operations.
Bigleaf Cloud Connect continues to evolve with those needs in mind.
