Dr. Eric Cole is a cybersecurity strategist, educator, and executive with more than 30 years of experience protecting organizations from digital threats. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Secure Anchor Consulting, where he advises Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and government agencies on cybersecurity strategy and secure network design.
Eric began his career in the intelligence community as an analyst with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). After that, he helped shape modern cybersecurity education through his work with the SANS Institute, where he served as a longtime instructor and course architect.
Throughout his career, Eric has held both technical and executive leadership roles, including Chief Technology Officer positions. As a result, he has guided many organizations through complex cybersecurity transformations while helping leadership teams understand and manage technology risk.
In addition, Eric has spent decades teaching security professionals and advising executives on how to strengthen enterprise defenses. His work focuses on aligning cybersecurity strategy with real business priorities.
