Shawn Tinsley, Assistant Professor of Engineering at QCC, is a technology leader and educator with more than 25 years of experience in enterprise IT operations.
At QCC, Shawn teaches cybersecurity, networking, and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on practical, real-world application. His teaching draws on decades of experience managing complex technology environments.
Before entering academia, Shawn held senior leadership roles in enterprise IT, including Senior Director of IT at Dell Technologies. In that role, he supported large aerospace infrastructure environments, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and maintained compliance with security frameworks such as SOX, NIST 800-171, and CMMC.
Earlier in his career, Shawn held leadership positions at NTTDATA and Intel, where he led cloud migration projects, automation initiatives, and high-availability manufacturing systems.
