This week, we’re thrilled to welcome John Coyle to the Bigleaf team as our new Channel Sales Manager for the Northeast. With experience ranging from working in networking sales to working as a sales engineer, John will be a valuable resource for our partners and customers alike.
John graduated from Boston College with a degree in Finance. After a brief stint in the banking industry, John decided to make the jump to the networking industry. John spent 10 years at Datamart, Inc., an MA reseller focused on LAN and WAN networking as well as ShoreTel IP PBX solutions. He held various roles at the company in both pre-sales and post-sales support. John’s last position was as a Technology Consultant and was part of a team which doubled IP PBX and Services revenue.
In 2006, John joined ADTRAN as a Sales Engineer supporting the New England and New York territories. He supported many of ADTRAN’s channel partners including VARs and National Service Providers. John became a team leader as well as a subject matter expert for both routers as well as SIP Business Gateways. Also, during this time, John was the recipient of several Sales Engineer and Sales team awards.
In 2016, John was promoted to Senior Sales Engineer and helped drive ADTRAN’s efforts into the subscription services market, not only to existing channels but also to MSPs and Agents. He helped recruit and onboard new channel partners, as well as provide training for products such as Hardware as a Service, UCaaS, and NextGen Firewall. These efforts resulted in a 200% increase in subscription revenues in 2017 and 2018. With all John’s expertise, he decided to move into the SD-WAN industry and join Bigleaf.
